Heathland Coastal trek Noosa Heads; the sun is shining, birds are chirping it’s time to head out for a walk, with eagerness to explore nature, our track winds itself through open woodland and heathlands. We veer off to the left to cross over to the isolated inland track called Tanglewood meandering through the open eucalypt woodland and shrublands, vegetation can be thick in areas limiting our view but not for long as we reach the start of the Coastal track and now is the time to start soaking up the views feeling the cool ocean breeze on our skin.

Noosa Head’s most famous beach tourist destination – Main beach, can be seen from Boiling Pot with spectacular sweeping views for the next couple kms passing Tee Tree Bay, Dolphin Point, Picnic Cove and Hell’s Gate, keep a look out for migrating whales from mid-June to early November when our coastline becomes a playground for the majestic creatures, including dolphins, turtles and eagles of the skies.

This might be our chosen spot to enjoy our Gourmet Lunch, Hell’s Gate (given its name by rock climbing enthusiasts) whilst overlooking the ocean. All energised an hour later – do we have to move on… it’s not far now until we reach Alexander Bay, down a staircase onto the beach noticing quickly that peoples clothes disappear here.  Strolling the beach with toes sinking in the sand, why not… over we go to the southern Headland with approximately a km of ocean views walking past Lion Rock, Devils Kitchen toward Cook’s County.  Breathe it all in, retain your memories shared as we finish our last 10m mins of our journey onto Sunshine Beach. Back to our reality it may be, but hopefully today we have ignited new friendships to come back for more.

This is suitable for anyone of beginner to moderate fitness level with the ability to complete a 10.8km journey.  It’s a great walk of about 5 hours adding an hour for our gourmet lunch when the views entice us to sit down and enjoy.  What are you waiting for…come join us for a wonderful walk breathing in the fresh air of Noosa’s Coastline.

Sunshine Beach has some fabulous quaint, quirky cafes – I would love nothing more than to keeping spending time with you over a refreshment at the end of our day, please enquire.
