Winding your way along a graded trail through the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, with each step you will be surrounded by breathtaking views, from the stunning crags of Cradle Mountain to the rainforest‑clad shores of Lake St. Clair.
Your journey will lead to new discoveries of some of mother nature’s finest creations including waterfalls, dolerite mountains, lakes, tarns and diverse ecosystems. The itinerary is ideal for walkers looking to make the most out of their time in the area by emphasizing the many highlights and exciting side trips all along the trail.
This full pack trek is suitable for first time bushwalkers as the inclusion of food drops and modern lightweight equipment will keep your backpacks as light as possible while your experienced Magic Adventures escort & additional World Expedition guide/s will help bring the track & tour to life thanks to their local knowledge and enthusiasm for the Tasmanian wilderness. Your tour is booked through Magic Adventures and it is their responsibility & pleasure to assist you with all payment details, confirmation of flights, accommodation and transfers including pre departure information, what gear to bring in the lead up of your trip. Tour Brief Outline
A compulsory gear briefing through Magic Adventures is held approximately two months before the trip commences (details to be advised closer to time)
Day before the Tour commences, is a compulsory pre-departure briefing at Tasmanian Expeditions Offices, 3/33 Churchill Park Drive, Invermay at 2pm on the day before trip departure. It is essential that you attend this briefing and that you bring along all of the gear/clothing required for your expedition with you. Travel to and from will be arranged. More details of this brief is included in your itinerary supplied to you after booking has been received.
Day before trip Group Welcome Dinner, optional
Day 1 – Launceston to Cradle Mountain National Park, Walk Dove Lake to Waterfall Valley
Day 2 – Lake Windermere to Pelion Plains
Day 3 – Pelion Plains to Kia Ora
Day 4 – Kia Ora to Windy Ridge
Day 5 – Windy Ridge to Lake St Clair and return to Launceston
Final night’s Celebration Dinner, Launceston

Magic Adventures tries its utmost not to increase tour price, however sometimes increases are outside its control. Magic Adventures reserves the right to amend tour price at any time.
The balance of tour price is payable 70 days prior to departure, about 28thJuly 2017.

Provided we are advised in advance of your departure, we are able to cater for vegetarian diets and can assist with medically recommended diets (allergies and intolerances). Please ensure you discuss your requirements with us well in advance – at least 1 month prior to your trip to determine whether we can cater to such dietary requirements on your chosen adventure. Please note that options are likely to be limited in very remote locations or may be more expensive or unavailable.
